i went to the track a lil while back, second pass, doing my burnout currently DTE stage 2 diff using a line lock car i think was in traction off but may have been in comp mode but started my burnout both tires spun then halfway through only one tire actually spinning is there any time this is normal or is something broke??? oh and clutch bit the dust on the attempted third pass, i am going with a spec 3+ do i need any trans upgrades while its out of the car? thanks...
The springs that hold the tension on the clutches in the rear are notorious for breaking. The DTE stage 2 includes only OE clutches. You need to get a HD clutch pack from someone and have it installed. Maybe it will subside when as the rear cools. You will need to do another burn out to see if there is permanent damage. As for tranny upgrades, if you're dragging the car, you should get a DTE brace and I would upgrade all of the internals to triple carbon blockers, billet keys, bronze fork pads etc. Your rear end had better have a 3-rib case too.
i hope its not permanent, because i really dont want to have to buy another new diff. who do you guys recommend for the tranny upgrades, i was planning on doing the internals of the trans and the clutch next month and a cam looks like i will be spending that on a new rear chunk
