You don't need to disconnect the fuel line.

Bleed the fuel pressure via the shrader valve at the front left end of the rail. Remove the 4 rail hold down bolts, Lift one side of the rail (the injectors will pop out out of the manifold with it), slide the cover in place, and carefully press rail and injectors back into place. Replace bolts, and done.

If you really want to disconnect the fuel line, it's a 3/8".

I don't want to buy the full set that is available but would prefer to buy just one or two sizes. Anyone who has removed the rails remember what size the tool is????

TIA, Chuck S.

I was under the impression you could just remove the 4 bolts and pull each side of the fuel rail assy up and then put the plenum cover on and reinstall the fuel rails without having to disconnect the fuel line. Just make sure to put a dab of oil on the injector O-rings before reinstalling them.

If you do a search on Fuel Rails I think you will find what you need.

Take pics and post as I'd like to see what's involved also.

Good luck --- I don't think it is a big deal

You can flop the fuel rail up onto the windshield with the fuel line still connected...you'll have plenty of clearance.

I have replaced the whole intake without disconnecting the fuel line, but it is nice to get it completely out of the way.

Here's a thread I posted on upgrading fuel injectors that shows removal of the fuel rail.
