Default traction

Not sure what catagory I shoud ask this.
I have put .3mm shorter tire on the rear of my 2004. When I get above 55 mph the traction assist come on and shuts it down. My speedo is off by approx 2 mph also (I anticipiated this).
I can manually shut off the traction assist, but I must do it everytime the car is started. Can anything be done to correct this in the computer or sumption permanently.

You say ".3mm shorter tire on the rear"

Shorter than what? The stock rears or shorter than the fronts?

Most people agree that the rears need to be @ 1/2" greater in diameter than the fronts to avoid problems with traction control.

I put on Vredenstien 275/35/18 on the rear, that is the only size they have that come close to the stock size. I really like the tires by the way.

Only way to solve it is to get new rear tires. There is no way to reprogram the EBCM which is the module that controls the Traction Control. Welcome to the 21st century.

problem is that vredenstien does not make the exact size for the rear..I find that strange, however guess I will live with turning the TC off at startup, like I stated before, I really like the tires (if they hold up and wear well). I only have approx 5,000 miles on them... thanks for the info
