Find a good tuner to recomend a tried and true cam instead of guessing. Mill your 243's to achieve 11 to 1 compression and add an underdrive pulley. Make sure your cam selection allows enough piston to valve clearance. Also beef up all of your valve train parts such as hardened pusrods and a quality set of valve springs to match your cam. Good luck. I have been researching and collecting parts for a couple of years and have the same goals as you by the way. Kevin.

With a bigger cam you will probably benefit greatly from a higher stall converter. I changed my cam first and then installed a Vig 2800. It was definitely one of the best mods I've done to date. It is quite a bit quicker, and much more fun to drive.

No. It is a custom grind comp cam on a 112 lsa with +4 degrees of advance timing. Real close to the mamo cam which has 114 lsa.

Not to be a hijacker here but this is the cam I ended up going with along with ls6 intake, ud pulley and ls2 heads with Patriot Gold springs and Yella terra rockers. I will post my results when I get it tuned in a few months. I work slow.

Mill heads to 59 or 60cc, 224R cam from texas-speed, UD Pulley and a GOOD tune and you will be at 400+ rwhp.

The better the heads are, the more power you'll make with less camshaft. Best bang for the buck on those heads is a 5 angle competition valve job. You may still have trouble hitting 400 rwhp without a good CNC port job though. Cam specs will be key too.

Add a UD Pulley too and you should have no problem hitting 400
