Name This Part...
...and where does it go?
2004 Z06
It most likely came from the rear end area, and as heavy as it is, may have something to do with anti-vibration? This was removed when I had the Pfadt tranny mount installed.

GM would not spend a penny on anything that did not need to be there. I vote for putting it back on.

Yes, and you'll get it as soon as my grand prize arrives, or when I get back home to my "diagram"!
Where have you been lucky131969? This is the kind of question you hit out of the park...

"Transaxle vibration dampener"
Bolt: 8mm x 1.25 x 20mm - torque value not listed anywhere in regular shop manual. Value must be in the separate transmission service manual. My guess would be approx 25 to 30lbft.

Kind of a no brainer here....just throw it in a box marked "parts left over", and give it to the next owner of the car. No biggie...

I had to take mine off when Pfadt tranny brace was installed due to interference. Pfadt said it was not needed with their brace.

No, the bolts are only torqued to 18 ft lbs! You will strip the diff housing at 25 ft lbs.

The part number is 11515756 (wadoI goda drawya a pichure? OK).
The good news is I found it for 49 cents (each), the bad news is it will probably cost $18 to have shipped!

Now if you will excuse me I must contact my PO because I didn't get this box when he sold me my car!

That's what happened to mine, but have since removed the Pfadt tranny mount due to vibratory displeasure, so to speak.
Thanks for the info people, You've been helpful as always. Even you, Lucky. But because of your first reply, you must pull on this finger.
Ahh, tnx!
