Default Spark Plug/Wire Question

Gonna be tuning up the '98 soon, have no clue which plugs and wires to go with. I've seen plugs from $5 to $50 a set and wires from $20 to $150 a set. I'm looking for good ole street performance, no track or racing.
What should I look at?
Thanks folks...

Hi: MSD's do it for me. Good quality, fairly decent price. Bought mine at LAPD. Can't beat Shawns prices or service with a stick!!!! :D :D :D

Go with the Magnecors, best wire IMO. Nate at Xtreme may have a set for sale. Good luck!

I got the Magnecor KV85's for $69 and NGK TR55 for $2 each at Thunderracing.com. They shipped quickly. I got them in a couple of weeks ago and so far everything is fine.

Does anyone have an educated opinion on the new NGK Iridium plugs? Are they worth the extra money?

Are aftermarket plugs and wires worth any horsepower on a fairly stock C5 engine?

I don't anyone who has them but damn, they are expensive. TR55's are good enough IMO

I am just looking at the longevity issue since the TR55's don't last long. I personally would rather change out the plugs once every 50,000 with the Iridiums rather than 3 times with the TR55's!

About the longevity on plugs-if you don't race your car you should check your plugs with regular maintance, and since your pulling them out go ahead and replace them. TR55's are cheap and there good. It depends on what you do with your car. Some dragracers replace them weekly.

I bought the recommended Snap-On swivel socket and don't find the C5 plugs any harder to change then any other car. I pull my plugs every fall and replace with dessicant plugs for the winter so it's not a biggy for me.

I went for the NGKs and Taylor 10mm. Thanks for all the advice...

Also cleaned the garage a bit and put in the Corsa mufflers with Daytona tips, Earadispeed rotors, Hawk street pads and stainless lines. Still not sure whether to install the vortex (sitting in a box) or get the Blackwing.

Was hoping to get a bit more volume out of the Corsas, perhaps I'll do the crossover as well. Anyone have any problem with interior noise with the x pipes?

Are plugs and wires worth any horsepower and torque? Anyone test factory plugs and wires against aftermarket on a dyno? Just looking to see what the bang for the buck is.
Thanks
