A Arm Bushing Replacement - Need Help
02 Coupe. Rear upper A-arm bushing has some play. I can't find any info in my service manual on replacing just the bushings. Is it hidden somewhere else in the manual or does GM consider the bushings non-replaceable and just expect you to change out the entire A-arm?
I've heard they are very difficult to change and sometimes have to be burned out with a torch. Yikes!!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I checked my manual and wasn't able to find anything other than replacement of the control arm. They sell aftermarket control arm bushing kits so I'm sure they can be replaced. Access to a hydraulic press would probably be helpful.

As Mark_C5 stated, the bushings are not available seperately from GM (only sold as a whole assembly) for about $150. I would opt for the replacement from GM.

That is an excellent article but I think they're a little optimistic on removing the old bushings. I agree with olftboy, unless you're doing a performance upgrade of the whole suspension I'd just buy the control arms and be done with it. Best of luck
