Default Please Help, Installed CLB. Still a no go. Please Read

After finally fixing my intermittent start issue by replacing the starter solenoid.

I sometimes get the Pull Key and wait 10 sec, followed by a service column lock. I dont have a problem where the steering wheel wont unlock, but the cars fuel shuts off after I move a few feet. I've read everything including every page of the 50 page sticky. I installed the column lock bypass today. My question would be where exactly is this K harness? Everyone says its easy to find. I've yet to find a pic of the K harness while connected to the car, only pics of it out of the car.

The one end of my column cable under the steering wheel has The 4 wires will be purple, orange, green, and black, however the other end (the female end does not have the same colors, one of them is white). I unplugged the 4 wires and plugged in the male clb into the female end of where I just disconnected the old cable.

Ive tried removing fuses 23, 25, 29 from the fuse panel on the passengers side, and then putting them back in. and still nothing. I've even changed the relay that connected the 30 87 87a +other pins. I have also tried using a cable from pin 87 to 30 and still no luck! I just want to drive my baby like normal. Since November its been a Bi&ch to keep her on the road. She falling apart like Brett Farve!!! Please help.

I have a 2003 6speed.

I dont want this to be a sob story but I have so much going wrong right now that having the car I love running would be such a bonus.

Look in passengers foot well behind the TWO relays. One it the Theft Deterrent Relay and the other is the column lock relay. The K harness will be there.

It doesnt look like theres much behind the relays. Any ideas?

Codes are u1096h and u1064h showed up in sdm, radio, ldcm rdcm scm rfa
u1160h hvac

If I pull 25 and plug it back in it will usually let me turn it on without a code once before giving me the error message again. but I just now noticed my security light came on. I've used both stock keys as well as my new key from corvettekey.com (great key btw).

Anyone? It sometimes will lock after i shut her off, and then unlock normally when i get into it and put the key in. Other times when I shut it off it will not lock the wheel up, then come the pull key and service column lock problems..

I can't say for sure,,but it sounds like you are making the same mistake I made,,,sounds like you are plugging your CLB into the K harness. It's been a while since I've been there. The K harness was one of the fixes they used throughout I believe! Have you removed it completely? It's about a foot long with about a 1 X 1X 1 1/2" cube on 1 end that splits into fittings,,a 2 wire female clip on the one and a 4 wire male on the other. The K harness wires are plugged into the factory originals. The original wires should just reach each other with very little slack. To install the CLB This connection is where you plug in the CLB leaving the other end open. I had trouble getting mine going even after I had it in,,,solved the problem by studying fuse panel lid(The one in the passenger foot well) and found 3 BCM fuses,,in mine #s 13-23-25 and I read on a thread somewhere #29 had an effect on something. Pulled those 4 and it worked!! You have to let it sit for a good 10 min. after you pull the fuses!! Check your connections and see if that is what you've done. As a last resort,,PM Bill Curlee (That's his name as well as his Forum Name) I think he knows just about everything when it comes to tech problems!!! Hope this helps!! Gene For the record ,,My K harness was at the dashboard base of the steering column (it's a 2000)

Guys, this thread is a mess. First of all the K Harness relay is not in the passenger footwell, but near the steering column. The steering column lock wire harness is located on the horizontal metal bar on the right side of the steering column. If the wires coming into this connector are Orange, Purple, Green, Black then you do not have the relay mod in the passenger footwell. If it's White, Purple, Green, Black you do.
Email me and I will help you get this figured out.
