I pulled my cam (234/243 .601 .610 114+4) out last night and on double roller timing chain the crank sproket has the +4 facing strait up and the cam sproket has the dot facing directly down.
With my cam specs above, does that mean that the cam has no advance ground into it and they only advanced it through the timing set, or both?
How do you know those are the specs? This is not an LG cam correct?
I seem to recall on another post of yours that it was a custom ground cam and those were the specs documented by the engine builder. If that is the case, the cam may be ground straight-up (no advance), and they advanced it 4* during install, and then documented the engine specs as such.
I'm finding it tough to believe they would custom order a +4 advance, and then advance it another 4* to set it at 106 ICL.

Its a Cam Motion grind that was put in when LME built my motor. You have a good memory bud On my build sheet from LME it says the specs I posted above
Thats what I was getting at....I find it very hard to believe that they would grind +4 in and then advance it 4 degrees more on the install. I think its ground strait up, I may have to call em and verify
The outside numbers on the the crank sproket are right on the teeth and the inside numbers on the crank sproket are between teeth. The dot on the cam sproket was lined up with the +4 on the inside number.
I did, however, just talk to Cam Motion and they said they usually grind 4 degrees of advance into them. I guess Ill try calling LME again tomorrow
EDIT- Bryan at LME just told me that there is no advance ground into the cam, so thats what I was looking for

What set up was that cam in? Stock cubes? Can you give us a short review on the pros and cons if any?
Thanks
Yes, it was in my 347. Had heads, Fast 90, bolt ons and put down 435 rwhp on a Eddy Current dyno. I really enjoyed the cam. I drive the car everyday and it didnt give me any truouble. I got it for sale too
