Boring the cylinders?
What is the maximum amout of c.i.d. u can get in the Ls1 block?

I think .010 over is all one can go on the later LS1 blocks that have the thicker walled factory sleeves.
After that its machine work time with adding in new sleeves that will accept a bigger bore. Then you are looking at about a 4.125 bore max.
To answer your question about max cid. That depends also on stroke. The biggest cid LS1 I have seen is a 454 cid.

You could go 4.125x4.125 for a 441
or get freaky with a 4.18x4.125 for a 454
maybe even offset grind (might need a weld up) the crank for a 4.18x4.179 for a mighty mouse 460 :eek: :eek:
