cooling suggestions
I havent taken my car out there yet but this is what I have had done to keep it cool. I am using a Dewitts radiator with builtin trans cooler. Then I had Charlie install an axuilar cooler with fan under the pass head light. I also had him install an engine oil cooler with fan under the driverside head light.
The engine oil temp has not seen over 220 with the fan OFF. When the fan is on the temp drops quick. Now the trans oil cooler has been working fine too. On the highway with the convertor locked it does not go above the engine water temp with fan off. Driving in town or stop and go on the freeways the temp will slowly get up to the water temp then go over it. Once the fan is turned on the temp stabilises then will go down after a few miles. Now the hottest days I have driven it was maybe the high 80s a few weeks ago for about 25 miles after reaching operating temps. I was on the convertor in town. My converter is a 2800 vig but it seams to stall up to 3400 driving it at zero vacumn to 3lbs of boost.
