Took my 2000 Vert to a dealer where I have a connection with a Corvette mechanic there and he looked at my balancer and said that is not good. Lots of wobble! Worse than I thought. First of all I am a major worry wart. I am concerned that my problem may not only be my balancer but my crankshaft as well. This is a bone stock 43,000 mile car. Do I need to be worried that it may be more than just a bad balancer? What are the chances of this? My car goes in Wednesday for a Balancer/Tensioners/Belts/Bolt/Front Seal replacement. Going to cost me between $600 and $700 total. Is this about right? Give me some input.
thanks
If you don’t want to do the work then that is a fair price.
With time, correct tools, and work, you can save some money.
