Help with cam
Ok guys i have a 98 c5 stock motor with a vararam intake axle back exhaust 160 stat 390 gear ss3200 stall and mail order tune for now. my Question is i plan on putting headers on and was wondering which cam would best fit my car to make the most power. keep in mind i still want to drive this car alot, not a drag car but want as much power lol.

I assume you don't have to pass emissions tests --but if you do -a cam that would pass would be something in the .225/.225 @ 50- no less than 114 LSA (lift doesn't matter much)--If smog is no issue than with an A4 a large cam can cause driveability issues and may require several trips to your tuner to correct--I would say something in the .230-235 range @ 50 at a 112 LSA would be very streetable and tunable

The tuners that specialize in Vettes, like LG Motorsports, can probably give you the best recommendation from plenty of experience, and provide you with the proper cam. But first, you must convey to them your definition of Streetable. In my experience it often varies proportionally to age of the owner.
