Just ordered mine from DMH this past tuesday. Seem to be some of the best. Also -do some searching on LS1tech.com. Lots of opinions there as well.

I have DMH's installed and they work perfectly. Being a low profile design is great for our lower sitting cars too.

I use the QTP twin 3" onmy 427 C5. Work great, simple wiring, I gain ~ 40rwhp open vs closed on a 570 rwhp (open) NA setup.

Holy crap!!! Your 427 must really respond to your cutouts. I did back to back dyno pulls with mine open vs. closed and only picked up 4rwhp and 6rwtq with the cutouts open. The shop and I thought it was pretty amazing that the factory Ti's flowed so well. I bought mine strickly for the sound.

That s kind of hard to believe! Im not saying its not true, just that it sounds unbelievable....Did you actually dyno it or was it a g-tech meter or are you a good sotp dyno reader? It sounds like our set-ups are similar and it makes me wonder if having exhaust is killing my 7.0....(mine made 540rwhp on a Dynojet in 90* with several mods less than i currently have) HMMMM....These would be great for the track.... Thanks!-Jason

Real actual #'s from a 248C dyno on back to back runs. Keep in mind I have a stock TI catback & make a lot of power. The stock TI system kills power bad @ anything over 450ish RWHP.

My vette was tunned with them closed. I haven't run the car on a dyno both ways but I can feel it runs slower with them open.

The Z I sold summer of last year lost a couple rwhp and rwtq with them open. The sound of them being open was worth it. I was making 712-655 rwhp (torco tune vs gas pump tune) through the stock Ti's so I could spare a horse or two.

OP...I did have QTP's on the Z I sold last year and one of the butterfly valves lost a set screw and one of the motors quit working. Only 4k miles on the car with the DMH's but no issues yet.

Wow! I wonder why some set-ups lose pwr and some gain an incredible amount? Did you lose only peak pwr or average pwr as well?

I think the variation has to do with every setup being different. My loss was across the board. Again, it was only a couple HP and I was making more than enough for the NT-01's to handle.

Just to qualify I am not a tunner, but my car has a maggy, cam and meth and it was tunned with them closed. I was told that the car will run leaner with them open hense the loss of power inmy particular setup. I have had good luck with the QTP so far. Had them on for three years.

I've not heard this before. Thank you for posting. My car is tuned for 93 octane but I can only find 91 at standard gas stations here in Vegas so I have to go to Rebel to get 4 gallons of 100 octane to every 13 gallons of 91 to get a 93ish mix. Since I'm already close, I don't want to chance anything. Whenever I run wide open, I'll close the cutouts just to be safe if the above is true.

In the video, are they open or closed when you first start it?
