I have some tractions issuses that 295/45/17 mickey thompson drag radials cannot overcome.2800 stall,315 gear and about 395 rear wheel horsepower.a4 transmission.works great at track, but on streets is a different story.are there any suspension mods such as better shocks or any other traction parts out there to try?
How many miles do you have on them? Maybe it's time for a new set. When I had MT's on last year (275/40/17) with 400+rwhp 3:73's/3600 stall, I dead-hooked them Street and track.
The M/T's are a track compound with groves cut in them to pass DOT but the compound is not ment to drive 50 miles on the street .
If you do a burnout it cleans the oils from the road off the tread but if you drive a few miles and try to launch from a light(were everyone sits and drips oil and stuff) they get glazed over .
columbia,s.c. new set of 295/45/17 mickeys.I've also tried 325/45/17 m&h tires.50-55 degrees farenheit 23.5 psi in mickeys and 18 psi in m&h tires
Tires aren't your problem its the road temps. Its been in the low 50's and hitting 20's at night over the last week or so. There is no magical tire that will hook in these conditions.
