Very high oil pressure
I just purchased a 2001 with a few issues. One of the issues is that my oil pressure gauge is pegged at 80 psi. The digital readout says 130 psi. It also has a oil leak that leaks on the exhaust. It gets worse if I drive hard. I haven't been under the car yet...looking from the passenger side, I can see that oil pan is very wet with oil. I was wondering if this leak could be related to the high oil pressure?

You have the classic failed oil pressure sender that has happened to all of us. For more information, see the sticky at the top of the Tech Section here. You'll have to replace it. As for the oil leak, you need to find that of course. Some people have found lose screws on the pan itself.
