Need reccomendation on aftermaket filter replacement
When I bought my '98 C5 A4, it had an aftermarket dual cone filter intake assembly already installed on it. The filters were not properly taken care of and are completely shot (metal mesh is rusted and in pieces, filter material is dried out and deteriorating). What filters do you reccomend that i buy as replacements? K&N's, AFE, should i go with a dry style element or oiled? And where do you reccomend I order them from? This will be on a daily driven, weekend racer. Thanks in adavnce for any help you guys can offer.

K & N (needs to be oiled) would be a good choice, but if AEM makes a similar size, I'd be tempted to go with their "Dryflow", as it never needs to be oiled. If you to each website, you should be able to see a list of vendors in your area (or at least a phone number to inquire about them).
