Star Stage III clutch installed.
So far I like it quite a bit. The pedal pressure and release are pretty darn smooth.
My stocker was completely toasted and looked like it had seen the better part of hell. I'll be posting pics tomorrow.
I've got to put 500 miles on it before it will see the track, but that shouldn't take too long. ;)
Speed Demon did the install for me and the turnaround time was super quick and the price was the best that I was quoted.
If you don't mind me asking, what did the clutch cost (without install)? Keep me posted on how well it holds up at the track as i'm still in need of a clutch........and so far i'm on the fence between Cartek and '02 Z06. It's the $800 bucks and possible overkill vs $350 and possibly not enough issue. :smash: But i may go the Star III route depending on price and performance.

I emailed or IM'ed ya'll.
The clutch feels pretty good.
I'll hit the strip as soon as the break in is over to see how well its holding.
Ernest,
I don't know if the '02 clutch would withstand the RWHP that you are putting down.
You definately don't want to have to pay for this twice!
It was a pleasure working on your car. I had no idea that clutches could get that bad!!!
You should be good to go! New slave, new fluid, new clutch disk/PP/TO bearing= big smiles and a much nicer car to drive.
PS Your engine bay looks awesome!
