All you have to do is take your C5 seat rails off of your current seats and bolt them on the C6 seats. They will then drop right in.
A little research using the C5 wiring diagram and the C6 wiring diagram will get you all of the info that you need to connect the C5 wiring to the C6 control switch. the connector/pins that you need are available from Mouser electronics for a few $. You will also need MetriPack crimpers for a few more $.
It is a really easy swap. I like the C6 seats that I put into mine much better than the base seats that I had before.

The thing I would recommend about having the C6 seat rail assembly is that, by virtue of being newer (C6), it also has less wear and tear on it. In my case that was a moot point anyway as my C5 had Mexican seats on both sides; they were Manuel.

I thought about doing it that way but the **** in me forced me to buy the crimping tool.
If you're decent at your soldering skills, there's no need to buy a special crimper for the terminals. I stripped the wire, tinned the end, layed it into the grooves of the pin, gently crimped with my small needle nose pliers. I then soldered the wire to the pin. Insert it into the back of the appropriate connector body and you're good to go. It's a bit tedious, but it sure beats Scotch-Loks or some other ginned-up method.

I also removed my side airbag modules, drilled out the rivets on the mounting plates and filled the vacant space with plenty of insulation I had on hand.
I have learned more about the C6 seats than I ever intended to, including how to repair a faulty (broken) relay on the lumbar pump assembly.
Now I'm just waiting for my new Vette Essential covers to get here.

Removing the side air bag is on my list of things to do. I need to recover my seats or have the panel that has Z06 on it replaced since my car is not a Z.
I talked to VE but they said that they were not doing C6 seats because of the side air bag.

Oh fine! NOW you tell me! If I knew that I would have rented yours for a day or two.

The seats are a case by case thing due to the side air bag safety issue. Since my seats are going into a C5 and there is no way to re-connect the side air bags and have them function in a C5 (C6 side air bags have their own dedicated impact sensor inside each door, not to mention the C6 SDM is programmed totally differently than the C5s - plus the C6 has dual-stage airbags) so after speaking to Sandy at length, she gave the go ahead. I think they would probably not do them at all for seats going back into a C6. As I said, case by case decision. Sandy is a genuinely ethical person and is very concerned with potential safety issues. Believe me, she knows the C5 and C6 seats very well, having worked for Lear - the Corvette seat supplier.

Do a search in the C6 tech section. I posted over there asking for the diagram and someone posted it for me.
If you can't find it let me know. I may have saved the image and could repost.

Thanks, I'll do a search. With all of the site updates, it's been hard finding stuff lately.

If you can glom onto a C6 shop manual, the info is in Volume 3. You'll find the "Wiring Systems", "Seats", "Seatbelts" and "SIR" sections all helpful. The "Wiring Systems" section has the best info regarding circuit functions/circuit numbers, etc. and the connector end-view part is really valuable, as there a number of wires that are not necessary for a C5. The schematics are at the beginning of each section.

Some Guys remove them and stuff the area with fill and sell the bags for $$ on ebay to recoup a few bucks. I see them for around $100 bucks on ebay.
