I had two leaks on my 97. One was a slight weeping from the rack which I got **** about and took it in for the dealer to fix. They replaced the steering rack which led to quite an exciting time for me out on the highway a day or two later. The other time the power steering pump seal failed while I was doing a track event and they had to replace the pump.

Has anyone experienced a small steering fluid leak? If so, is it an easy repair or to the dealer?

You may want to check the hose where it connects to the pump. The hose is connected with one of those spring clamps. It could have slipped. I replaced mine with a screw type clamp.
