I did all three. I used the 5W-30 in the motor, the Series 2000 in the rear and the ATF in the MN6. I was very impressed with the specifications on the oil as compared to others and the amount of testing and number of specifications that they meet. The Series 2000 motor oil is their latest, but comes in 0W-50 which is not mentioned in the owner's manual as an acceptable weight. Therefore, I went with the 5W-30. It is a good oil with a long history.
Amsoil is a good product. Right now I just use the 5-30W engine oil, and have Mobil 1 in everything else. When I next change the trans and/or rear, it will be to Amsoil. :)
I have amsoil series 2000 75w-90 in the diff and their ATF in the tranny. The diff is quieter after the change, and after a week I noticed the tranny shifting much better.
I talked to Carroll Supercharging the other day and Amsoil is all they use in their cars. I'm a diehard Mobil 1 fan, but I think I'll be switching to Amsoil from now on. From what the original owner told me, that's all that's ever been used in the my car.
