I have a 99 FRC. It came to me with B&B bullets and no other signicant mods...that I know of. I love the sound ....mean and nasty but the car club I run with is dealing with noise complaints at the airport (!!!) we do events at and the track....Mission Speedway in BC. The max allowable is 90dB at trackside...apparently I exceed that. I am going to get some downturns fabricated for the tips but if that doesn't work are there any other ideas short of replacing my exhaust??

Yes an airport....its a small regional airport with some housing around it. The neighbours are also concerned about Traffic especially high powered cars with drivers that have difficulty distinguishing between the track or the facility and public roads. I'm more upset by the track....this track has been there forever. Its primary use is as a drag strip!!!! There is no housing nearby but no place was safe from development in Vancouver BC. With the downturn hopefuuly the pressure will ease

B&B's are loud and there is no way to quiet them down except replacing them.
Go with a set of ZO6 Ti-s and you'll be happy. My .02

^^ Lot less noise. Should be able to pick up a set for around $400 in the C5 parts for sale section.

I used to watch autocrossing at the Boundary Bay airport all the time (before I got my Vette). I thought you're no longer alowed to drive there?! Since they moved the events to Mission, I've never attended the races. It's just toooooo far away from Tsawwassen
Are they planning on going back to Delta? That would be awesome!!!!
BTW, I also have B&B bullets. They are nasty sounding little pipes, arn't they
Where in Vancouver are you from?
Cheers, Indy
PS: This morning was a perfect day for driving the Vette to work!!!! Much better than Monday

They now do their courses at Pitt Meadows Airport...and yes there is gliding there as well. On Sunday someone was doing touch and goes with a very fast steep ascent... it was hard to hear my car over the noise.

I live on the West side of Vanc. Three times a week I'm going out to south Burnaby in my white FRC.

There was a thread about a month ago were a guy welded 30 inch long "Cherry Bomb" glass pack mufflers (about 3" diameter) under the car,,in place of the straight section of pipe after the cats(I think around were the H is) This could possibly take the edge off of the sound to get by. I think the name of the thread was something like "my $50 exhaust" or something like that. Might work,,and cheap!!
