Default Worth it cutting into Borlas?

I recently bought a '98 with the following Borla catbacks:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Borla/157/14961/10002/-1?CT=999
(mods feel free to remove link if not a supported vendor-meant for reference only)
My problem is that they are TOO darn quiet. I am considering doing the bypass mod to get some more beef out of them.

I was wondering if you guys think I should cut into them, or just wait till I can afford(tuition is not being nice) some stingers or corsa pace and possibly sell this current set? Also, about what price do you think would be good to list these? Thanks in advance

I guess I just really miss the sound of my PIA '84....haha

Personally I'd just sell those and use the money that you get to buy some used stingers. I just sold my Corsa Touring today and installed my two-tip Borla Stingers. There is always used exhaust for sale on here.

i would sell them instead of cutting or modding them.

i have the same exhaust on mine with long tubes, and i like the sound...
they are quiet at low rpm but rally wake up at high rpm's or wide open throttle..

You did not say anything about your car having headers. If it dont, and you are planning to put some on, I would wait. If you change the rear section now and do headers later, you might not like the sound. Its always a good idea to look ahead on what mods you want to do to save money in the long run.....for more mods!

The system you have on there is more expensive than a set of Stingers. If you are planning on LTs, I would wait. The system you have might actually sound pretty good with LTs. I loved my Stingers with stock manifolds, but after installing LTs, I hated them. Too much drone. I ended up selling my Stingers and installing GHL Bullets. I would wait. If you really want Stingers, sell your system and then purchase the Stingers. Your system should sell quickly if posted on the CF For Sale section. Good luck with it.
