As part of my brake rebuild I'm replacing the rubber brake hoses with new OEM ones. There is a flat clip where the metal brake pipe meets the end of the flexible hose - it appears to secure the brake hose to a small bracket that bolts to the fender well. Does anyone know the correct way to remove this clip?
I'll try that with a bit more force - they seemed reluctant to let go and I didn't want to break them. I'm on the home stretch of my brake rebuild and the last thing I need is another delay while I wait for more parts
Did the same thing. Its just a spring clip, shouldn't be that hard to get off. On the reinstall, make sure the slot in the fitting at the end of the hose is all the way through the bracket and square before you push the clip back on. It should just slide into the groove with a little effort. Also, pay attention to the orientation of the hoses - you don't want a twist in the lines. They should be in an "S" configuration and both curves in the same plane.
