Reason I ask is because the LS6 cam has a slightly smaller base circle from what I've read. I'm going back to stock and collecting parts. Just want to check if LS1 pushrods are the same as the LS6.
01 does not have the longer valves. Some over on LS1Tech run 02 cam with stock length pushrods and have no problems. Don't know if GM decided it needed more preload or a better rocker wipe pattern. Instead of pushrods you could buy some thin 040 Cometic head gaskets to increase the preload as well as the compression ratio.
10-4... I don't want to pull the heads. I'll put it in and see what happens. If I don't have sufficient pre-load I can throw the 7.4s in that I have in there now w/ my G5-X2 cam.
