Default inexpensive rotors

i found sets of cross-drilled/slotted rotors on Ebay and they are dirt cheap. "Brake Motive" is the brand. i've always been a "if its too good to be true.." type of guy and was curious what you would say. $$ is an issue for me and would buy them for <$200 but not if they're crap. thanks!

this is for looks? If so, then it doesn't matter how good they are!

If you want stopping power, for many sustained stops, the cheapest way to go is not slotted and drilled. It weakens the rotor.

i want looks & prevent fading. i've done cross-drilled on my old car & it helped after a day of rippin on the car to prevent fade. you think cheap rotors will crack, or maybe even lead to worse braking??

I think what they are saying is the design of the Corvette brakes is such that the drilled and slotted rotors are not necessary for added performance because they are already built with heat dissipation in mind. I love the look of the "performance" rotors but I have also heard that they decrease pad life significantly. On any "cheap" rotor the issues to look for are cracking and warping because of using less material or substandard cast iron alloys in the manufacturing process. They are for sure one time use items and should never be turned and reused.

I have had a set of D&S zinc coated ebay rotors on for almost two years of daily driving.
So far no issues, no warping. But I do not track my car.
I paid under $200 shipped for all 4 rotors.

But perhaps I have just been lucky

Mine came from Sport Brakes in Dallas but their web site is gone so I don't know what happened to them.
