Electrical help, cluster swap
I'm swapping in a Z06 cluster. problem is when I turn the key to the run position I get a hi-voltage alert and the gauge is sitting a 16 volts then slowly moves to 14.7, so I start it up and after a few seconds the cluster goes dead, samething happens every time and turn the key and start. Put the old cluster back in and all is fine. Bad circuit board or voltage gauge; can I swap from my old cluster?

Just take the Speedo and Tach gages out of the Z cluster and put them in yours. It’s really not that hard and no worries about mileage etc. It is nice to have an extra pair of hands to hold the cluster while you install the gages but it only takes a few minuets to get the gages in and out. Did this about a month ago so if you need anymore help.....
