Bad connection??????
All lights and gauges work fine headlights are bright with car off so I'm thinking not a low battery. Anyone else have this peculair problem
), first, your ignition switch is going out, your battery or connections are weak which can cause intermittent starts, the pellet on your key is dirty, or the solenoid is going out and probably a few other things. i suggest you read the codes and record them for here. clear all codes and see which codes come up with a C suffix. i would start by reading the voltage across the battery with engine off (12.7 volts) and make sure your connections are clean and tight.

There are a couple of things to jump on right off the bat:
Battery cables: Must be clean and properly torqued to the battery. Torque them to 11 ft/lbs
Starter wiring connections: Very common source for starting / charging issues. The wires are exposed to heat, weather and high current. If I were you I would remove the wires, clean them and then reinstall them.
Starter Solenoid: Most of the NO (CRANK) No START C5 issues are caused by a bad solenoid. The starter its self if very bullet proof. The solenoid "if proven to be bad", is ONLY $40-$45. If your a doityourselfer and want to save the cash for something else, replace that solenoid (if ou have proven it bad.
When mine was going south, I could thump it wih something and that would jar it back to life. I also found that HOLDING the key to the CRANK position for an extended period of time (30-40 sec) would sometimes allow a start.
I replaced mine during my heads cam FAST 90 install and its been perfect ever since!
The Theft Deterrent Relay (TDR) is the key troubleshooting point for all starting issues. Start there and make sure that your getting the correct Primary and Secondary relay operation!
