I've got HRE wheels on my Vette that has been tubbed. They are 18's and 19's. I currently have Michelin Pilot Sport tires that are the stock ratio of the front tire size to the back tire size, and they are about 5 years old. However, after cracking a piston , I just finished rebuilding my motor all winter long, and I made 698 HP to the wheels , so it is time for new tires.
My question is, how far from that stock ratio can I go without confusing the ABS and active handling or anything else computerwise? I am looking at Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires, but I can't get them in the exact sizes I would need. My front tire would be stock height, but my back tire would be 1" taller than stock. Is this difference of 1" going to cause the ratio to be too far off and confuse the car? Thanks in advance for the input.
No he was correct,I don't think you'll have any issues, its when its LESS than .5'' that problem start happening, although from what I've read some people have no issues even when they are less than .5"
