Default Fuse 25 Blown - What next????

I just got the dreaded Pull Key wait 10 sec and Service Column Lock errors. Like a smart Forum user I searched and found tons of info. I went through the trouble shooting and found a blown fuse 25 replaced it and blew again. Car has been in storage and I just fixed the rocking seat issue. Could that have something to do with this? Any ideas or things to check?

Minifuse 25 supplies 12 volts to the BCM and to the Instrument cluster. If the fuse blew as soon as you installed it, then obviously, you have a direct short to ground somewhere. Not knowing how your car was stored, make sure no water has dripped on the BCM. You can disconnect connector C1 from the BCM, and replace the fuse. If it does not blow, then at least it will be isolated to the BCM or associated wiring. I'm close, so let me know if you need help.

Yes.....good practice. Just remember to hook it back up so you can verify the fuse....
