hi guys i have a 98 c5 with a center force clutch just got it in the summer now im having a problem
the clutch grabs right at the top and after its in gear the car will move but if you accelerate to fast it feels like the car is in neutral im guessing that the clutch is slipping
the clutch fluid looks like gravy i was wondering if i replaced the fluid if the clutch would work properly again ( im thinking that there might me air in the system or something ) also how hard is it to replace the fluid
If you want to find out if the clutch is slipping, when your driving, put it in 5th gear going about 50mph. Punch it and if it's slipping you will know. If you don't have a remote bleeder, changing the fluid will take some work. You can do the ranger method and see if that helps but that's mostly for clutch pedal issues not the clutch itself.
