What does that mean exactly? Does the motor turn over, yet does not start?.....or does the starter not engage at all when the key is turned to start?
Ok, the starter doesn't turn over the engine. Next on the list, is the security light on the IP Cluster flashing? If so, the key pellet is dirty. Is this a MM6 transmission? If so, check out the clutch safety switch. Do you hear the TDR in the lower passenger footwell click when you turn the key to the start position? If not, then your ignition switch might be suspect, assuming the security light isn't flashing and the clutch switch is working normally. If the TDR relay is clicking then look at the battery cable to starter connection as they will come lose. Remember that its electrically hot to the battery before you go putting a wrench on it. Lastly, the TDR relay again, if you are absolutely sure its out of gear, parking brake is firmly set, there are two wires on the rear of the TDR, purple and red. If you jumper them, the starter will turn over. If the key is turned on, the car will start. If you forget and leave it in gear, your car will drive away without you. So be careful before getting to that point.
Just had a no start condition on my Vette yesterday. It was the OIL LEVEL of all things. It was only 1 quart low, but that prevented it from starting. Put in a quart and she started right up.
Does anyone know of the level is really triggering the no start, or perhaps it was oil pressure? Seems like only 1 quart low is premature to cause a no start, especially when there were no warning lights / messages prior to this.

Not to rain on your parade....but you will have this problem again. Be prepared and start addressing common causes now.....adding a quart of oil is not the fix..
I always like to check for the presence of 12 volts at the solenoid, get a DVM with a small clamp and connect to switch terminal on solenoid and ground, have someone try to start the car, this test will eliminate a lot of guessing, if voltage is present suspect solenoid or starter, if not then problem is upstream in the interlocks, or bad switch. Hope this helps.
