Odd electrical (?) problem.....
My 2000 coupe while sitting at a light waiting to turn, the turn signal just stopped blinking. The stalk was still depressed and did return to center postion after making the turn, but niether signal was working.Then just to be sure I had other lights I flipped the head lights on. They raised and were lighted. Then the turn signals began to work again.
Any ideas as to what happened? Just a quirk or a prelude to a switch going bad or something else?

The hazard switch is bad. When it happens again, you can verify this by pushing in teh hazard switch twice and this will more than likely cycle the contacts and the turn signal will work momentarily again. I just replace the switch last weekend. There is a great write up in the Forum on how to do this. Almost impossible to remove and replace...but it can be done if you have the time.
