Default Squealing with AC on

I have a 2001 convertible with about 33k miles on it. I had the battery leak cause the vaccuum tube problem with the AC & I need to get around to having that fixed...

However, I have developed another problem (unrelated, probably) where the belt(???) squeals when the AC is on. It rarely happens when the AC is off. The sound is more like a fast squeaky wheel than a constant squeal. It becomes worse under accelaration...

Any thoughts or suggestions & any recommendations for a Chevy / Vette repair place near Melbourne FL??? Thanks Much!!

Also could be the a/c idler pulley. You can get one at Auto Zone. Theyre actually pretty well made. Aluminum instead of plastic/nylon and made in USA about $18. I would also change the belt at that time.

It seems like if it was the idler, it would make noise all the time, not just when the A/C is on.
Maybe the A/C compressor is binding when engaged and causing the belt to slip on the A/C pulley.

The A/c is kind of wimpy unless moving too. I suspect that part of the problem may be my Vaccuum tube issue with air flowing out of all vents, but maybe it is something to do with the compressor???
