Default HUD problem

Jumped in the car today and noticed only a portion of my HUD was working. I can see the speed and tach but the portion where you can see gas gauge does not appear. I tried the page button several times but nothing helps. Any suggestions?

Checked all that! Sitting still and driving can't see it.

This one might be pretty easy. Let's see... If you battery is starting to lose its mojo, all sorts of strange things can start happening.

But try this...

The page button works in two different ways. If you press and release quickly, it will scroll through the screens one way. But if you hold and continue to keep it down, it will scroll through the visual options in a different way. One of these will remove the gas level while keeping the tach and speed. Try it.

Just what I was thinking

There are five HUD selections that you can choose to
view in the HUD display. By pressing and holding the
PAGE button, you can scroll through these pages in
the following order:
Speed Only
Speed and Gage
Speed, Tachometer and Gage
Speed and Tachometer
Tachometer Only
When you have chosen the desired HUD display,
release the PAGE button.
Gages can be scrolled through by tapping the
PAGE button (only when a gage is displayed).
The gages shown are the following:
Oil Pressure
Coolant Temperature
Fuel Level
The selections that you choose will remain in the
HUD display until they are changed.

this is more difficult, I was reading my service manual and troubleshooting tree stated to jumper puple wire to ground, I'm assiming the dash pad has to be removed to get to the HUD to IPC harness where this wire is. if the HUD segments all light up it could be an IPC problem or shorted wire, hopefully someone else can help

I'm pretty sure that someone else has! See posts #4 and #5 above.

Thanks to everyone for help! Its working again. I held the page button down and got everything back! The car had to be in neutral and emergency brake on for it to toggle through.
