Default Need Help with coilover issue..

I spent the weekend installing my pfadt coilovers. I got the ride height where i want it. I have a slight rub on the inside fenderwell in the rears because of the 335's i am runnin. Where i need some advice is the rattling noise i have when i go over bumps. I have checked everything 5 or 6 time to make sure everything is tight. Anyone have any suggestions on what i should check? I know i am going to need an alignment this coming week.. any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Mike

I agree if everything is tight there should be no rattle from the coilovers.

Ok, checked the end links and actually had some new adjustable endlinks put in. That was not the issue. The shop i had look at the issue says I have no room for the rear shock travel. Says I am almost sitting on the bump stop with no room for the shock to move. I just tried to adjust it but I really dont know which way to adjust it to give myself more shock travel. Need some. I am almost at the point of saying "good effort on my part, but its time to let the pros handle it" lol. Can someone tell me how to fix ths shock travel issue? Do I need to screw the shock futher into the lower assembly? That is what the guy at the shop told me but I tried that and still the same noise..Maybe i didnt go far enough with it. Any ideas guys?

Thanks

update.... found out what the problem was. The top nut on the top ove the coilover was loose on all four corners. Tightened them up and all the noise is gone..Car rides great.

Had the same problem with mine. Had to tighten the top nut also. The fronts are easy. The rears were not. Had to remove the top mounts to tighten it up, and then one loosened up again. This time I opened up the hole in the rear floor enough to get a socket on the top nut.

I had the exact same symptom / sound with mine. It was a combination of the top nut being a bit loose (less than 1 full turn) and some play in the suspension adjustment end link ball stud (less than 0.015" yes I measured it) It sounded like the rear end was going to fall out.

Yes there is a reduction in weight. The biggest advantage is the complete adjustability of ride height; spring rate; shock rate etc. It is the only way to achieve a true 4 corner balance.
