The best one-man setup is to use a power bleeder to put pressure on the master cylinder. Then you can bleed all 4 corners without having to get in and out of the car. The motive power bleeder is kind of pricey though. I don't think it would be hard to build your own, its pretty simple.
You can also use a vacum pump. Attach it to the bleed screw, put a vacum on it and then crack the bleeder.
I used the speed bleeders on my Mustang - 13 track days last year with bleeds in between, they worked fine. Lots of guys don't like them but they worked ok for me. But, they are kind of a hassle. You need to get in the car and pump away, then get out and check, then back in, etc.
This year, in the Vette, I'm just sticking with the two person method.
Thak you for your help! Now I understand the method for one-man bleeding "with" speed bleeder "without" vacuum pump. I'll go with this because I don't want to trouble my wife any more when bleeding work...
