Default Backspacing question.

What is the difference between 50 mm backspacing and 54 mm backspacing. Besides 4 mm. Will the 50 mm bring the wheel closer to the hub or will it bring it out towards the outside of the car.

Going higher brings the wheel in, toward the center of the car.

So that means the stock wheel with 54 mm with sit in closer than the 50 mm. How much of a difference is it. I will have a 285-35-18 tire on it.

Thanks for the link it really dosen't look like muck.
Whats your opinion, would you use them the 50 mm over the 54 mm.

It's a long story that is on another thread of mine to do with tires.

Well stock offset is +58 so a +50 will stick out 8mm more. If you want to run big tires and not rub the fender I'd stay as close to stock size as possible.
