Default ****Poly Bushing Replacement Service****

Are you dreading the installation of the control arm bushings on your C5, C6, or C6Z? Does your car have EVERYTHING...but bushings?
Maybe you do, or don’t, know how to do it, but you’ve heard nothing but how frustrating the replacement process is.

Well, we have a solution.
We have teamed up with Pfadt Racing and arranged a special promotion to offer a control arm bushing replacement service to the Corvette community.
The service is simple, all you'll need to do is remove your control arms, it doesn't take very long, and send them to us. We'll install all of the bushings for you plus whatever options you choose. No more cussing, no more blood and tears, just these fixed prices for parts & installation.

$650 for C5/C6
$750 for C6Z

Options include:
Zerk fittings & installation: $200set
Pfadt Balljoints & installation: $125ea

Pfadt Racing describes the performance benefits & design aspects of their product best.

"The factory bushings are known to deflect more than a ¼ inch in turns which equates to almost 1 degree of lost camber. With our poly bushings that deflection is gone and you’ll make the most of your alignment.
Our poly bushings are graphite impregnated for long life and low friction. They are engineered with special grooves to maintain lubricant on the bearing surface, keeping the noise away. We include lots of lube specific to our polyurethane. In addition, we’ve engineered custom aluminum sleeves for light weight, low friction operation. The front upper pivots are machined with an offset to offer maximum camber adjustment.
Unlike most kits available, the Pfadt kit also includes the lower rear shock mounts, setting it apart from the competition."

*Please note that polyurethane bushings will begin to make noise over time, no matter the brand, and regardless of how much, and what type of grease was used during the installation process. We use a grease originally designed to lubricate mechanical components in a saltwater environment. We believe that it is the longest lasting grease for this type of application. A poly. bushing will make noise sooner than a rubber bushing will. A bushing is considered a wear item. Suspension bushings, whether factory rubber, or a performance poly., were not designed to last forever.

I just recieved an e-mail from Jordan at Pfadt, they have just increased the price of their bushing kits by $100/set meaning our pricing had to move up $100 too.

Our updated pricing for the kits AND installation is now:

$750 for C5, C5Z, and C6
$850 for C6Z

All other prices remain the same.

"Will begin to make noise over time". About how many miles is that and about how many miles before they need to be replaced?

I don't want to come off as a squirrel on this, but it is very much tied to the installation, most importantly the amount of grease used and the type. We use a grease designed for offshore saltwater applications, the best we've found for this type of application, and very long lasting. The zerk fitting option is also huge for being able to quell the squeaks. The zerks will deliver a column of grease to the center of the bushing, which is grooved, and outside the sleeve, so it will distribute pretty evenly. Do this with every oil change, or every other oil change, and you'll be in good shape. Install it w/o much grease and the wrong type, it may squeak coming out of the driveway, do it correctly, they may last 50k.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks guys.
