HUD not working

HUD not working
Sup guys I just bought a 2003 Z06 but the hud does not work. I played around with the buttons but absolutely nothing is visible on the windshield. Is there a fuse or light or someway I can fix this by replacing something?

I had to put my car in neutral with the emergency brake on and hold the page button down the last time I had problems with mine not displaying the information. Try that. If that doesn't work hopefully other members will have good advice how to fix it.

The hud gets its power via a connector on the top rear of the IP Cluster. Its possible that the connector is off. Also, the hud controller on the left side of the cluster could be disconnected too.

sup guys, just slight update....i played around with the hud a little in the darkness and I noticed that some light was been given off so I started moving it up and down to see if anything would come up but nothing! At that point I moved it as far up as I could and once I got up from my seat and was touching the roof with my head I could finally see information displayed but how in the world can I fix this problem. For whatever reason it cannot go up anymore atleast from the the automatic adjustment buttons.

If that is the case, the HUD mechasim has serious problems. Most likely you will have to replace it but who knows...maybe you can fix it. In most cases, to get the hud out, you will need to remove the dash pad. Its not as hard as you might think. I replaced the hud in my '99 some years ago and it took 2.5 hours, first time doing it, from start to finish.
