Default The devil had a good laugh last night.

After waiting 2 weeks I opened the boxes from CCW that contained my new 505a's and they are a work of art. So last night I put a coat of wax on the face and inside web of the wheel., by laying the face down on cardboard and rubbing the wax off the inside, Not knowing the new wheel were so soft, the cardboard acted like sand paper. So I turned all the wheels over to remove the wax off the front to see and 4 new wheel now have scuff/scratch marks. Now I'm think OMG these things have to be mounted to the tires which means more marks. long story short, they did get some marks by mounting them.

So the question to everyone that has CCW's, what have you used to buff out marks/scuffs, I'd really hate to ship wheels and tires from Ma to CA.

Holy crap.

I have sanded my CCW 505a with, 600, 800, 1000, 2000 and then 3000 grit paper to remove some damage and got them back to new shiney!

All is NOT LOST. Just get some neverdull from walmart, rub the scratched areas and then use some mothers aluminum polish. It will look good as new.

Bill C. has the fix covered

CCW is located in Daytona Beach, FL, not CA

EnglandGreen and myself toured the CCW facility enroute to the FL move back in 2006

re: reverse mounted, Bill I believe the poster is referring to the tire mounting process, I have zero experience in this dept.
