I have over 110,000mi on my 2001. I use it as a daily driver, and 3-4 times a year at HPDE events. With few exceptions ("pull key wait 10 seconds", and the dreaded P1416) this has been a trouble-free car. Part of that is likely due to keeping ahead of scheduled maintenance.
Although I replaced the coolant and belts at 5 years, I have never changed the thermostat, water pump or hoses. The thermostat seems like a no-brainer; the hoses aren't cheap, but they don't feel spongy; the cost of the water pump gives me pause. Any opinions on replacing a water pump that is 8 years old, but doesn't leak?
