So I just replaced my stock clutch with a tex oz700 clutch and a new tickmaster master cylinder and a new gm slave. I have broke in the clutch but I am a bit worried about how the clutch engages. I know that I have the tickmaster adjusted right but the clutch engages about an inch from the peddle being completely released. There is only an inch between it being engaged to disengaged. Any help would be appreciated.
A smaller diameter clutch master cylinder and/or moving the master pivot point closer to the clutch pedal pivot point will increase the the engagement travel.
I don't have the adustable master so I can't answer any adjustment questiosn but I only have to depress the clutch pedal a couple of inches or less to change gears with the textralia in mine.
I have the same setup as the OP and it was all installed by Tick Performance. My clutch does not engage that late. Maybe just a few inches off the floor.
My concern is the incredible amount of clutch chatter the Textralia gave me. It practically renders my car useless as a daily driver...though it's just a weekend toy now so I can deal with it.
my stock clutch&slave engaged almost at the floor - after replacing the slave (gm) .. it engaged close to the top like yours at first but has stettled in about half way up with 3k miles since the change -- perhaps yours will break in some too. I do notice some change in the engagement point with changes in outside temp as well. (engages lower in colder temps)
