Default Weak Starts...any ideas.

When I turn the key the starter turns, pauses, then starts the engine.

Other problems occuring is the car stalls when making quick stops. It has a hard time starting after it stalls out.

The car has been tuned by Charlie at RPM here in CA and has worked just fine until recently. Car is a 2001 (built in Oct 2000) with 99,800 miles on the clock.

The fuel filter was replaced 30,000 miles ago. The spark plugs are 250 miles old.

Start by doing the BASICS. Remove inspect and clean your battery terminals. Make sure that there properly torqued to the battery. Proper torque= 11 ft/lbs.

Then inspect ALL the wiring at the starter solenoid. The alternator charging wire goes from the battery to the solenoid and then to the battery.

Then inspect ALL the battery NEGATIVE Terminals. Battery to the block and battery to the frame at G-104/108:

Quote "I'm waxing the beast tonight; I'll investigate your leads. "

The lower ranks call that:

Cleaned the battery terminals and all the grounds in the engine bay. Started fine....I'll check again today to make sure it's not beginner's luck.
