Default Wheel Not Centered in Wheel Well

I just bought a C5 and noticed the left front wheel was sitting about an inch forward (closer to the bumper cover) than the right front. The car has been on and off tow trucks a lot in the past month due to shipping it cross country, could something be bent? If so what and is there an easy check?

The car seems to drive and handle fine, but then again I don't track/autocross like a lot of guys on here so i'm not sure I would be able to pinpoint a suspension flaw just from driving feel.

Please, someone who knows much more than me about suspension chime in on what possible problems could be. An inch doesn't sound like much but the more I look at it the more it concerns me.

Thanks guys, Mark

Try measuring the distance between your rear wheels and front wheels.

Are you saying measure the distance between the center of left front wheel to center of left back wheel, then compare to right side?

yes, or the leading edges, or the trailing edges. Pick a point that is the same to give reference.

The most accurate way would be from hub to hub.

I would have a good front end Tech check the alignment. Later! Frank
