Default Code Mystery

Okay soon after a big rain I drove my 2002 Zo6 Vette and a number of codes popped up. Now my car has a leak some where behind the rear glass I think it from the gutter area of the trunk, I haven’t found it yet but I think it has some thing to do with these codes. Now the codes are C1232, C1233, and C1248. It seem that the 1248 code is cause by the first two which are wheel speed sensor voltage too high or short codes. Is this a common problem with C5s or has anyone else had this problem with the leaks or the codes?

P.S I was suppose too ask for Mr Bill Curlee

Read Bill's LEAKS sticky at the top of C5 tech. See his ELECTRICAL sticky there as well.

Do you have aftermarket brake lines at the front calipers? Sometimes those cause bad readings from the wheel speed sensors.

Inspect for water leakage onto the BCM in the passenger footwell.

Hopefully others will chime in with more help.

Ive been asked for a lot lately!!!

I JUST replied to this very subject in vivid detail. I see if I can find the post when I get home from work and attach it to this post as a link. Sounds like the sensor wiring harness connectors got wet. Check out the post when I attach it and let me know if you have any questions

Here ya go.

I use this stuff to water proof ALL of my connectors. The ground connectors are even more important to water proof. This is what I use but there are other products that work as well:

Disconnect each wheel speed sensor connector and all the connectors in that system and clean and inspect and wateproof them.
