Pull Key Wait 10 Sec Fix
They took out the K Harness and Re-Synced the Column Actuator.
There is a new service bulletin out for this PI AIG3088G
I was getting the Pull Key Error every other time I started the car; so far since the fix I haven't seen it and I would have normally seen it at least 4-5 times today so this may be my magic bullet.
Also when I initially asked about it, they said they would look at it but all they could do was to pull the K Harness out and charge me 1hr labor; I said then leave it and I'll pull it out. Well when I go to pay, they tell me no charge which I expected, the AC issue (replaced both L and R actuators) was still covered under my major guard; but as I look down the list, I see that they did do the Pull Key fix at N/C also.
So be careful, if you do not say anything they will charge you for what apparently is a warranty item; they knew I had coverage and still told me I would have to pay.
So far so good test will be in the morning, usually if the car sits for more than an hour I have the error. Anyone know what the re-sync column actuator procedure is?
I ALWAYS got it if the car sat over night; I am sooooo glad this f_%$in problem maybe finally fixed on my car. Next couple days will tell but it's looking good now; but really at this point, I would be satisfied with an error a couple times a week over what I had.

I think the defining of what this re-sync procedure is may be where the solution lies. Besides the only other solution is the CLB Module and I have read lately that people are still having the pull key issue with it.

if you have insurance on your car then you should install the clb for the same reason. it is not for "what has happened" but what can (and will) happen. no one escapes
be kind to yourself and install a clb before it is too late and you are not experiencing the problem

If I read your post correctly you have the column lock motor hooked up with the lock plate removed, no K-harness, and no CLB.
This is the IDEAL time to install a CLB. With a working (but disconnected) column motor, should the CLB fail, all you would have to do is disconnect the CLB and reconnect the motor in the steering column, then be on your way. (Avoiding a tow to the dealer)
Finding someone with EFI or HP Tuners software so that they can set the fuel cutoff to 256 MPH would solve the “being stranded” issue altogether. (256MPH is the max setting possible, I’m sure 200MPH would do nicely)
The re-sync PROBABLY means they synchronized the column lock motor shaft, and thereby the micro switches therein, to what the BCM expects to “see”. Plunger extended, car off, plunger retracted, car running.

So true. I was lucky enough to have it happen right in my garage. Do yourself a favor and install the CLB. It's only fifty bucks and takes maybe 30min for first timers.
This is what was done last year, not what they did this week. They took the K harness out this week, states so on the ticket, and resynced the actuator. Also the SA said that this was the latest update from GM regarding this issue and for me, it has solved my problem. The previous fix created the Pull Key Wait message; prior to the 1st recall being preformed, I NEVER had a column issue, never saw a Pull Key and wait.
All I can say is that as of today, I am convinced that my Pull Key problem is fixed, I have never gone more than 3-4 key turns and not seen the error and definitely have not been able to let the car sit more overnight and not get the message.
I hear what you guys are saying but for all you guys still dealing with the issue, check into it. It's free and it has apparently solved my problem.

Has your lockplate been removed so at least you do not have to deal with a locked column if the actuator fails?

(whoops, i already did, sorry
