When you installed your HID's did you also install a relay harness to get the HID's to work correctly? Is the current wiring completely stock now? Do you have power at the headlight socket? If you don't, I have the schematics in the service manual. Depending on what you find I can give you other places to check to diagnose it.
when i had my HIDs i just took the stock harness from the stock bulb, put that in the ballast, and ran the HIDs. everything worked for a while. all of a sudden one day they wouldn't go down and the passenger's side wouldn't light up. i removed everything and used the stock harness with the stock bulbs. same thing. passenger's side won't light up and both headlights won't go down - i have to put the lights in high beam mode and then they go down. i never changed my fuses - i'm thinking it's probably a bad fuse?

The fuse for the right low beam is #8 in the underhood electrical center. After reviewing the schematic, the highbeams have no affect on the headlight doors opening or closing. Only the position of the headlight switch raises or lowers the doors, not the low or high itself. I would try turning on the twilight mode to see if the light sensor will open and close the doors automatically.
