I may have a set of 243s and a decent street cam for sale soon. The 243s were dented during shipping on the corner. The uneven surface was filed down and will not effect its ability to seal. I'd still recommend milling them to clean up that area and the rest of the surface. I assume you would mill them anyways to ensure a flat surface and lower compression. The cam I will be selling is a Cartek 2X cam, specs are 224/228 .590 113 lsa. Excellent cam for a street car. Just be sure its not to small or you will be swapping it fora bigger cam in no time like me.
When you decide, pm me what you think you'll want for setup. I see you're another Jersey guy. Have you ever heard of Kobers?
Your HP goals can be met with a "cam only" application. I must note that IMHO your 11 second goal is going to take more than HP. Traction is going to be an issue. Also plan on a new clutch. I over powered my stock clutch at 370RWHP so 400+ is a death sentence as soon as the throttle is opened up...

What were you running with 370RWHP? I'm sure you're right about traction. It breaks loose a lot now, and I planned on a tire change in the near future.
Interesting about a cam only change. I'm going to research as much as possible and try to come up with a good package that will give me what I'm looking for. I plan on doing the wrenching myself and then get out to most likely Mike Norris for a good tune.
Once again I want to thank everyone for all the good info. Mike
I was running a reverse split Thunder cam 230/225 575/562 on a 111LSA if I recall correct. This was is an old cam compared to today's standards. I am currently running an EnglandGreen Whiplash cam (Rev 1) and I am sitting at 405...
My suggestion is select a cam then go a little larger. There are several really good cams available so research and PM people for info.

Thanks. I'm going to contact EnglandGreen and see what they think.
Very easy to achieve, cnc ported and polished 243 heads,224-228-581-588 114ls cam,u/d pully.headers, and 11.2.1 compression with a good tune will defently get you over 400 @ wheels in a a4.. but be ready to spend about 6 or 7K
