The shop that changes my oil has an underground service area where the customer drives the car into the bay and no jacks or lifting of the car is required. I tried to get my oil changed there yesterday and my car no longer fits. It it about one inch lower. There are no other problems as the car runs great. What do I do?????
Thanks,
Mose

Is this a trick question? What do you think you should do?
1) Change own oil
2) Survey other oil change facilities to see if clearance is adequate
3) Raise car height
4) Strap two 16 foot 2x10's to the roof, and lay down on the floor at your local oil change shop.
Reminds me of my neighbor that installed a lift kit on his 02 Silverado. Installed a real nice kit, did all the work in his garage, then realized the truck was too high to clear the door opening when he tried to back out. He stopped by, and asked the same question: What do I do?

Reminds me of what happens when rigs get stuck under an overpass...They let the air out of the tires...Sometimes, it lowers them enough to get 'em out...Although, for the OP, overinflating is not an option...

I don't understand, did you lower the car or are you saying the car got lower on its own?

Yes, that's exactly what I am saying. It is mysteriously 1 inch lower. How is that possible?

Don't you find it strange that the car is 1 inch lower from one oil to the next? I know I have heard of other Corvette owners with the same problem. What I am wondering is how that is possible?
